Joel Kinnaman Goes Undercover in Prison in First 'The Informer' Trailer

"If you go back inside, you'll never get out..." Aviron Pictures has released the first official trailer for a gritty new crime thriller titled The Informer, formerly known as Three Seconds before this new title, a film about an ex-con who goes undercover and intentionally gets himself incarcerated again in order to infiltrate the mob at a maximum security prison. The film stars Joel Kinnaman as Pete Koslow, who gets caught in the middle of dangerous people with their own priorities. The film's cast includes Rosamund Pike, Clive Owen, Common, Ana de Armas, Sam Spruell, Ruth Bradley, Martin McCann, and Jenna Willis. Looks like one of those films that's extra convoluted just to give a crime action movie some plot that usually involves the CIA or FBI getting mixed up with criminals, and a good person having to risk everything to live. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Andrea Di Stefano's The Informer,

‘A Private War’ Goes Public With Aviron’s Word-of-Mouth Screenings
A Private War” is expanding this month after its Nov. 2 launch in New York and L.A. The film, starring an excellent Rosamund Pike, is the perfect calling card for the new Aviron Pictures. The film embodies what Aviron is doing, but it’s also an exception to its rules.

“Most of our films are mid-budget feature films that we believe have the ability to be wide releases,” says Aviron president David Dinerstein. “But ‘A Private War’ is a little different.”

Aviron execs knew this film would depend on word-of-mouth. It is a complex, adult drama, centering on war correspondent Marie Colvin, who reported from war zones in Africa and the Middle East for Sunday Times of London; the film covers her work for a decade, concluding in 2012.

Reviewing the film out of Toronto, Variety’s Peter Debruge praised it as an “incredibly sophisticated, psychologically immersive” film, adding that director

'Blade Runner 2049' Star Ana de Armas Joins Kevin Pollak Thriller
Ana de Armas is set to take the title role in 'Waiting for Helen,' a noir thriller directed by Kevin Pollak.

The Cuban actress came to prominence last year with her performance as holographic companion Joi in 'Blade Runner 2049,' opposite Ryan Gosling.

In 'Waiting for Helen,' she will play a waitress who may be an innocent patsy or a sadistic sociopath.

According to the official synopsis: "A detective tells a stranger the story of an attractive, young waitress named Helen, who befriended a customer and was asked to help prove her husband's infidelity. People end up dead."
